Annette wanted a pie for her Birthday.
Today I made an apple pie, it was beautiful.
I was looking forward to a piece.
I went to the store.
Eric took it out of the oven for me.
It was hot.
It slipped out of his oven mitts.
It landed on it's side.
He used a queen sized sheet to clean it up,
Sort of.
He was hiding it from me by sitting on it when I came home.
He says it is still eatable.
I think he may be right.
I put it back into the pie plate,
sort of.
It is no longer beautiful, or an apple pie.
I am debating if I should still have a piece.
I really love pie.... (sigh)
Excuse me while I go make a cherry pie for Annette.

Current Reading

I pulled this off the bookshelf the other day to give to my sister.... She said she wanted a potty book for her birthday. (What she was really asking for was this one for her 2-yr-old) I thought it would be
a funny joke to give the parenting book to her first. (BTW both are exellent books, just not for the same age group.)Anyway they were both sitting on the table a few days ago. I found the parenting book under the table this morning with a bookmark in the allowance chapter. Do you think Eric is genuinly interested in parenting? Before you answer that question you better see some of the other books he has been reading...

Apparently he knows all the secrets of parenting now. Will he use his new knowledge for good or evil?
