Every now and then when I ask Eric to do something for me, I hear him muttering, "I'm not a golem."

I find this funny and it's hard not to laugh. My version as a Mom is, "Do I have to do everything around here."

P.S. a golem is a magical creature created from soil, clay, and stone. The golem in the book is named Hugo. He's like a robot, he just obeys commands. He performs all sorts of manual labor.
